Quantum pumping and rectification effects in interacting quantum dots
We derive a general formula for the pumped charge through an interacting quantum dot by the use of the Fisher-Lee relations within the scattering matrix approach. The pumped charge is related to the dot instantaneous Green’s function and to the time-derivative of the tunneling phase. The last contribution gives rise to an effective rectification term with important experimental implications. In...
متن کاملInterference and interactions in open quantum dots
In this report, we review the results of our joint experimental and theoretical studies of electroninterference, and interaction, phenomena in open electron cavities known as quantum dots. The transport through these structures is shown to be heavily influenced by the remnants of their discrete density of states, elements of which remain resolved in spite of the strong coupling that exists betw...
متن کاملAdiabatic pumping through interacting quantum dots.
We present a general formalism to study adiabatic pumping through interacting quantum dots. We derive a formula that relates the pumped charge to the local, instantaneous Green's function of the dot. This formula is then applied to the infinite-U Anderson model for both weak and strong tunnel-coupling strengths.
متن کاملNonadiabatic pumping through interacting quantum dots.
We study nonadiabatic two-parameter charge and spin pumping through a single-level quantum dot with Coulomb interaction. For the limit of weak tunnel coupling and in the regime of pumping frequencies up to the tunneling rates, Omega less, similar Gamma/variant Planck's over 2pi, we perform an exact resummation of contributions of all orders in the pumping frequency. As striking nonadiabatic sig...
متن کاملConductance in quantum wires by three quantum dots arrays
A noninteracting quantum-dot arrays side coupled to a quantum wire is studied. Transport through the quantum wire is investigated by using a noninteracting Anderson tunneling Hamiltonian. The conductance at zero temperature develops an oscillating band with resonances and antiresonances due to constructive and destructive interference in the ballistic channel, respectively. Moreover, we have fo...
